Postojna cave and Slovenian coast

A fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, the astonishing diversity of Karst features as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors, which has already reached 35 million in 200 years.
Postojna Cave is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world's largest karst monuments. Many books and other contributions have been written about Postojna Cave; speaking of tourist guides regarding the cave itself, almost 100 have been produced over 200 years.
We begin our day at 9.30 with departure from Ljubljana to Postojna. There we'll visit and discover the underground of the most popular karst cave in Slovenia, the Postojna cave. Guided tour will include a ride on the electrical train, followed by a walk through beautiful passages and chambers with spectacular drop stones, pillars, limestone curtains and other unforgettable forms.
Afterwards we will head to the beautiful Slovenian coast, where we'll take a walk through narrow streets of the former island Izola and admire its Venetian monuments.
A perfect chance to relax and enjoy the view will be the panoramic tour on a touristic boat, where we'll enjoy a fish picnic prepared by our friendly crew.
Our afternoon will continue with a guided visit of Piran with its medieval narrow streets and houses where you’ll also have a chance to spend some free time as you please.
Our last stop will be Slovenia's' top resort town - Portorož or Port of Roses, the undisputed king of Slovenian coastal tourism trade. We will conclude our day with a guided visit of the city and some free time for strolling and shopping. Departure to Ljubljana is planned at 19.30, with expected arrival around 21.00.
